social media nurses day

Peninsula Care are delighted to be hosting International Nurses’ day for the third year running here in our head office in Newtownards.

Nursing in 2018 is a modern and dynamic profession. The roles you fulfil are so varied and the skills you have so vast. This Nurses’ Day we want to say thank you for dedicating your careers to delivering outstanding patient care.

On Friday 10th of May – A day before the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birthday, we want to say thank you to our Nurses and celebrate the nursing profession with those nurses in our local community.

We will be hosting an informal “get-together” and Open Day in our Headquarters in Newtownards to celebrate International Nurses day from 2-4pm.

We will be hosting an Afternoon Tea on the day, to use this opportunity to have a chat, share work experiences and share a laugh between health care professionals.

There is no charge for this event however we will be using the opportunity to collect donations for the RCN Foundation. The RCN foundation supports nurses, midwives and health care support workers facing hardship offering support services and financial assistance to get their lives back on track. They invest in the future of nursing by funding education and development opportunities for the nursing community.

Invites will be sent to our Nursing & Care team, community Nursing teams and other healthcare facilities whom use our service. We encourage everyone attending to bring a work colleague to enjoy the nursing “banter”.

We also think there is no better day to start a caring career than International Nurses Day so we want to meet individuals who would be interested in joining Peninsula Care so it’s a  great opportunity to call in and have a chat with either the office staff or the nursing/care staff about working here at Peninsula Care.
