Home Manager – Omagh

Main function of job 

To be responsible, through management and staff leadership, for promoting and ensuring the highest standards of care, in compliance with statutory requirements, to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents within the Christian ethos of PCI.To ensure the Home is run efficiently and effectively whilst safeguarding service users.

  • 39½ per week worked flexibly, including evening and weekends.

Qualifications and Knowledge


  • A first level nurse with current registration on Part 1 of the NMC Register
  • Knowledge and understanding of the current legal responsibilities of the post and standards for the service, including the need for management and delivery of person-centred services
  • Knowledge of current health and social services available for older people
  • Computer skills for word processing and e-mailing

2. Relevant Experience


  • At least 5 year’s post qualification experience, 2 of which have been in a similar care setting within the last 5 years
  • At least 2 years’ experience, within the last 5 years, in a similar care setting providing nursing care to older people
  • A management qualification or 2 years relevant managerial experience at Band 6 level (or suitable equivalent), gained within the last 5 years

  • To oversee all aspects of medication management- ensuring medicines are received, stored and administered in accordance with company policy and current legislation
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst motivating your team to ensure delivery of the highest quality of care to residents
  • Experience of delivering nursing care within elderly Health Care Sector

Community Care Worker Jobs

What is the job?

To travel from house to house and provide care to vulnerable individuals. This may be assisting with washing and dressing, meal preparation or giving medication.

Where is the Job?

Our Head Office is based in Newtownards, (just opposite Ards Hospital) however those we care for live in various locations including Holywood, Bangor, Newtownards, Comber, Millisle and Donaghadee.

What hours do I have to work?

Our service is made up of various shifts between the hours of 7am and 11pm every day of the week. We can offer positions to people looking anything from two shifts per week to Full Time Hours, over five days. All staff have to work alternate weekends.

I have no experience, Can I still Apply?

Yes of course. We have a Training Academy in Newtownards which will offer you all the training needed before starting work. We do need you to be a driver, have access to a car for work and also be passionate about delivering care to our service users.
