The safeguarding of our vulnerable adults is at the heart of all we do in the world of care delivery.

This course is designed for everyone working to deliver high quality care, providing information on the types of abuse, signs & symptoms, how to support someone who has been the victim of abuse & employees reporting responsibilities. With a focus on providing the highest standards of care, this course has been developed to encourage the sharing of best practice & practical ways of working to safeguard the vulnerable adults in your care.
Who should complete this training session
Anyone working with a vulnerable adult remembering that a vulnerable is “a person aged 18 years or over who is, or may be, in need of community care services or is resident in a continuing care facility by reason of mental or other disability, age or illness or who is, or may be, unable to take care of him or herself or unable to protect him or herself against significant harm or exploitation”
How it is Delivered
Trainers use a power point presentation accompanied with video clips. There are group discussions and activities which are feedback to the trainer.
How this session is assessed
Trainers will use questioning both oral and written to test competence. Certificates of attendance are issued for each candidate.
Duration
3 hours approximately which includes a short comfort break.
