We at Peninsula Care are excited to announce that we have got upcoming training courses in our Newtownards Head Office. Whether you are our own staff or if you work with another company, you can still attend. Our courses will be run by our very own principle trainer Helen Riorden. We have courses for the following:
Safeguarding Of Vulnerable Adults at Risk (SOVA) – This course is designed for everyone working to deliver high quality care, providing information on the types of abuse, signs & symptoms, how to support someone who has been the victim of abuse & employees reporting responsibilities.
Infection Control – The course provides information on types of infection, methods of transmission, the chain of infection & breaking it, standard precautions, isolation precautions & barrier nursing & practical ways of working.
Food Hygiene – We look at Microbiological Hazards, Contamination hazards and pests, their routes and vehicles of contamination, Cross-contamination and its control. We also look at HACCP and Temperature Control. We discuss Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points/a risk analysis food safety management system.

The times of the courses are SOVA – 0930-1230, Infection Control – 1315-1500 and Food Hygiene – 1500-1700.
