This September 28th Peninsula Care join forces with Heather McMillan to support such a great charity. This is such a great privilege for us to support Heather in this fundraising activity. Heather is one of our valued Community Care Workers who sadly lost her father to Cancer in November of last year. We know the challenges she faced during the time he was ill and suffering the affect of this loss. MacMillan Cancer Support are a wonderful Charity who provide support whether it be practical, emotional or financial to cancer patients but also their family and carers. So many people in Northern Ireland avail of their services including; benefit advice, support groups and information centres.
We are opening our Training Academy at 3 Church Street, Newtownards on Friday 28th September from 1030am – 1230pm and invite workers, friends, family and our local community to join us for coffee, scones and a range of sweet treats to assist Heather to raise vital funds for MacMillan. There will also be raffle tickets sold and drawn on the day as well as a few fun games with prizes being given out.
