As the people are talking about the Queen on her birthday and how she is the longest reigning monarch in history, it got us thinking about who our longest reigning care assistant is. Meet Health Care Assistant Brigid Beattie,
Brigid has been a long standing and loyal member of the Peninsula team since 2010. With Peninsula Care being an agency there can sometimes be a high turnover of staff but Brigid is an exception to that rule. We spoke to Brigid and asked how it came about that she joined Peninsula Care all that time ago.
“I first heard about Peninsula Care when I was working in a Nursing home at the time. There was a member of Peninsulas Staff working in the home covering sickness” Brigid added that “the flexibility and working shifts that suit me would probably be my favorite part of working with Peninsula. Especially around Christmas time as I get to spend time with Family which can be difficult as we do not all live in the one house hold”
Throughout Brigid’s time here as a client favorite she has been blocked booked in several placements and picks up regular work outside of those areas when she is available. Brigid enjoys variety in her professional career. She has worked with various client groups including Elderly, Children and young adults with a learning disability.
